		artists, circa 1980. The collection also contains a sample of family
		correspondence, documents, and seven reels of 8 mm home movies (circa 1958),

	 <head>Biography</head> 
	 <p>Bruce Edgar Bradbury was born to Lucille Enger Chappelle Bradbury and
		Edgar J. Bradbury of Indiana on May 15, 1923. A member of the National Honor
		Society, he from graduated high school in 1940 and went on to attend
		Northwestern University. He later graduated from the United States Merchant
		Marine Academy and served as a deck officer on 
	 <title render="italic">Mesh Knot</title>. In the mid 1950s, he relocated to
	 Los Angeles. Photographs and documents reveal his interest in tattoos and
	 motorcycles; he appears to have been a member of the Saddleback Motorcycle
	 Corps of Orange County. He died April 13, 1992, in Los Angeles. </p>

	 <head>Scope and Content of Collection</head> 
	 <p>The collection primarily consists of photographs of Bradbury's service
		with the United States Merchant Marine, outings with the Saddleback Motorcycle
		Club of Orange County, and images of himself and family. The collection also
		includes 7 reels of 8 mm home movies and a typescript of his novel, 
	 <title render="italic">Who are You, Billy Bingleman?</title>. The remaining
	 files contain a sample of his, his mother's and father's and his brother's
	 correspondence and personal papers. His personal papers include identity,
	 membership, and business cards along with documents related to his Merchant
	 Marine service and tattoos. His families' personal papers include documents
	 related to his father's membership in the Freemasons and his brother's military
	 service.</p>
