Angels' Talk was a medical astrology study begun by astrologer Michael F. Mitchell and conducted between the years 1988 and 1993. The goal of the Angels' Talk project was to determine if there is a correlation between astrology and people with AIDS. The research included astrological charts of over 100 individuals in the United States who lived with or died of AIDS. Michael Mitchell died of AIDS in 1992.
This collection is divided into two series: (1) Administration and Research and (2) Astrology Charts. The first series contains notes, correspondence, charts, and a questionnaire used in the research of this project. The second series contains the astrology charts and profiles of over 100 individuals or groups of individuals who lived with or died of AIDS. The collection does not include the final report written at the conclusion of the study.

This series comprises notes, correspondence, charts and the questionnaire used in Angels' Talk project research. Other materials include lists of individuals who volunteered for this and other studies, handwritten notes describing research methodology, and an open letter to the gay community from Michael Mitchell.
This series comprises over 100 astrology charts and related notes of persons who lived with or died of AIDS. Also included are four composite charts, in which the profiles of two individuals with AIDS are studied together. The charts are arranged alphabetically by last name. A list of names is available with the collection; however, for privacy reasons the names are not included in this finding aid.
